Sunset Photography

Here we are again, taking photos and talking to myself and this time about sunsets and landscapes.  I began to be interested in Sunsets primarily for my mother, she has a newfound love for sunsets and takes photos of them every evening and posts them to her social media outlets.  In an effort to try and get good photos for her o appreciate I've been going out more and more to see more and more and do MORE AND MORE FOR MORE AND MORE RAHHHH MORE!  My apologies, the sunset monster just came out of nowhere and wanted more.

I've taken sunset photos before as I share them below this, but I wanted to do something different and incorporate moving water.

I've seen some photos of creeks and things of that nature, (No pun) and the texture the water turns into with a little longer shutter speed makes it look milky or misty and its an interesting concept.  I've recently purchased some ND Filters to try and do this in Florida and on the beach.  I've ran into MANY complications but Doing this concept during a sunset actually somewhat worked out for my first time.  I truly enjoyed what I was able to get from shooting at Dubois Park in Jupiter recently and wanted to return to an area similar to that.  But I wanted something different in the foreground for the eye and Ideally I wanted rocks.  My thought process was, I'm not going to be able to capture that milky look without there being SOME sort of interaction with objects other than water.  With that, I was on the hunt for rocks on the beach, which was oddly harder than I anticipated.  I found a location called "Coral Cove" in Jupiter's North Island and It was perfect!  I set off to my location to try and get some shots and when I arrived...there were so many other photographers!  It was like the 49' Gold Rush and everyone was going all in at this spot.  Wedding photos, baby belly photos, regular sunset photos, photos of the rock formations, you name it!

I was able to get that Milky look I wanted and it wasn't the most difficult thing really.  But the piece that really came out good was this next one and also it's my most shared photo so far!
